"It's a million-dollar view!"The view they refer to is the 18th hole of the Panther Creek golf course, its splendor in full view from the rear of their condominium.

The road from Chongqing to Fengdu is questionable at the best of times, so a foggy, steady rain and the dark of midnight don’t help things.  As we bounce along in our steamy bus (euphemistically named the “massage bus” because of the bumps), a Chinese man runs up from the back and animatedly says something that is well beyond my brief Rosetta Stone study of Mandarin.  “He says he’s going to be sick,” interprets my guide, helpfully.  Ah, yes.So how does a Springfield woman find herself in this situation?
