Springfield Scene Magazine #6 Issue is now available at The Corkscrew, The Blue Door and Custom Cup.

In our 6th and last issue for 2017, we present Kazuko Golden, a Springfield native who is a rising star in the filming making industry.  Her first film, “A Song For Manzanar” has been selected for screening at no less than 12 film festivals including the Cannes Film Festival.

Since September and October were big months for charity gala’s, this issue has many events.

The Association of Women in Communications celebrated their 40th Anniversary and Lisa Rigoni was there to cover it for us.

Chef Sean Keeley prepared a dinner for the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs based on the 1996 movie, “Big Night”.  By all reports it was big success!  Julie Cellini tells us all about it.

We have an article on High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) in this issue.  Just about everyone gains 5 lbs during the holidays, you can keep that from happening to you if you use the HIIT method we recommend in this article.

ArtScene features photos from the Sangamon Valley Youth Symphony’s “Halloween Spook-tacular ” performance.  HomeScene features the amazing customer-built home of Nancy and Stephen Mayer.   We have Part 2 of a 6 part series on Solar Energy by Michelle Knox.  We hope it will take all the mystery out of adding solar to your home and/or business.

PetScene presents “Eugene” who is seeking a forever home.  WILD Rescue has him fostered while they work to find him a permanent home.
