The GTO Association of America (GTOAA) is dedicated to the promotion and preservation of the Pontiac GTO. The organization provides GTO enthusiast with an opportunity to share their interest in the GTO hobby with others from around the world who share their love for “The Great One”, the Pontiac GTO.
Each year, the GTOAA hosts a national convention to give everyone a chance to be in one location for a week of speakers, special activities, and our course, car shows. This year the convention is in Springfield, Illinois at the Crowne Plaza hotel.
The event will feature 2 different car shows. Outdoors, in the parking lot of the Crowne Plaza, the GTOAA will host a Popular Vote car show. There are nearly 200 cars preregistered for the Popular Vote show and it is anticipated that many more will arrive during the week. The Popular Vote show will be on Friday, June 30thfrom 9:00am until 1:00pm and it is open to the public.
Indoors, there will be 70 of the best examples of GTOs in the country on display for the concourse show. This show will feature the absolute best restored, modified, and unrestored GTOs in the country. This show is also open to the public from viewing from Thursday, June 29th through Saturday, July 1st.
