Women’s Power Lunch Against Cancer

On April 11, 2025, a vibrant gathering of women filled the President Abraham Lincoln Hotel in Springfield for the 16th annual Women’s Power Lunch Against Cancer. This inspiring event, benefiting the Simmons Cancer Institute at SIU Medicine, brought together community members, survivors, and advocates united by a shared mission: to fund local cancer research and bring hope to those affected by the disease. With keynote speaker Cyndie Spiegel energizing the crowd, and every dollar raised staying right here in central and southern Illinois, the luncheon was a powerful reminder that when women come together, real change happens.
