Copper Coin Ballet Company (CCBC) Artistic Director Julie Ratz is proud to announce the founding Company of dancers. The thirty-member Company will perform in CCBC’s inaugural 2022 season. CCBC’s roster of dancers makes their home in Central Illinois cities such as Athens, Auburn, Chatham, Jacksonville, Lincoln, Rochester, Sherman, and Springfield.

Copper Coin Ballet Company was formed on February 22, 2022. On April 3, 2022, Auditions took place at the Hoogland Center for the Arts. CCBC welcomes the following dancers to their founding company: Molly Barry, Rylee Kate Brinkman, Addison Bulpitt, Megan Burton, Chloë Clemons, Sanaia Cole, Sierra Dove, Elise Greene, Juliet Hannah, Jane Hart, Hailey Haschemeyer, Carsen Kahl, Lauryn Maher, Elizabeth McNew, Hope Miller, Lauren Nafziger, Helen Nerone, Megana Paidela, Lauren Pumphrey, Emily Standley, Kaylee Stead, Sophia Stewart, Jordyn Thompson, Rachel Wakelin, Blair Walker, Annelyse Warren, Mya Williams-Sutton, Norah Wilson, Gracyn Wylie, Euphoria Yang

Copper Coin Ballet Company’s inaugural season will consist of performances of Rockballet™ at the Springfield Muni with live music from the band Downstate on August 20, 2022, and The Nutcracker in December at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum.

The goal of CCBC is to develop collaborative projects, support the creative efforts of the region, and provide unique experiences in which the art of dance may be shared and improved in partnership.
