genHkids will be wrapping up Destination Dinner Table: Kitchen Skills cooking class series at the Springfield Learning Academy, 101 E Laurel St, Springfield, IL 62704, on Friday, April 27th from 9:45 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. We have been teaching students how to prepare delicious meals from scratch, as well as providing information about meal planning, budgeting, concepts of pantry stocking and more! This final course is a celebration of all that has been learned throughout the 6 part series!
genHkids is a local 501(c)(3) relying primarily on generous business and individual donors for support programming designed to encourage children and our families to Eat Real and Move More. The organization was founded in 2008, and their mission is “To create a generation of healthy kids through education, empowerment, improved nourishment and increased physical activity.” We implement programs in schools and community centers throughout Sangamon County, and requests for support and guidance are received regularly.
