HCFTA presents Wynyard Browne’s play, “The Holly and the Ivy.” Set in 1940s England, the heartwarming tale begins on Christmas Eve as relatives of elderly pastor Martin Gregory (Tom Lawton) come together. Refusing to retire and cared for by his loving daughter, Jenny (Elizabeth Cheney), Martin is completely unaware of so much in his midst, including that Jenny has fallen in love with their neighbor, David (Reggie Guyton), and that he has neglected his family for his parishioners. Family members include Martin’s daughter who has a penchant for whiskey (Aasne Vigesaa), two fussing, aged aunts (Nancy Cole, Linda Schneider)
