The 2018 Legacy of Giving Music Festival is one of the most successful charity music and entertainment festivals in Springfield.  For 2 days musical acts from central Illinois and beyond entertain thousands as they eat drink and enjoy the talent on display around the Old State Capital Plaza.  There is something for just about everyone including a 5K/10K on Friday afternoon in Lincoln Park.  This year’s weather impacted the attendance but not the fun!

The 2018 LOG proceeds ($ 12,345) went to the following organizations based on their volunteer contributions to the event.
Animal Protective League, Brother James Court, Compass for Kids, Habitat for Humanity, The Helping Paw Project, Mary Bryant Home for the Blind & Visually Impaired, MERCY Communities, Old State Capital Foundation, St. Martin DePorres, and WILD Canine Rescue.  Additionally, the proceeds of the LOG 5K/10K went to the Oak Ridge Cemetary Foundation which brought the total raised to $13,000.
