This year, he was also named to the Phi Theta Kappa All-Illinois Academic Team and served as LLCC’s Phi Theta Kappa chapter vice president for scholarship. He currently serves as chapter public relations officer.

“Hyler and Julia are both outstanding students, and I know they will make LLCC proud as they serve the Phi Theta Kappa Illinois Region over the next year,” said Dr. Claire Gordon of Chatham, professor of communication and Phi Theta Kappa advisor.

Cheyenne Kesselring of Ashland

Hyler and Julia were installed as new Illinois regional officers at the annual Regional Conference and Honors Institute in a virtual ceremony held on May 30. At the awards ceremony that same evening, Cheyenne Kesselring of Ashland, a recent LLCC graduate and former chapter public relations officer, received an award for Outstanding Chapter Officer.
