The Old Capitol Blues & BBQ stirs up the bluesy sounds and smoky scents in downtown Springfield every August. Facilitated by a group of local businessmen
and music lovers, the best blues bands are searched out all year. This year’s stellar line-up is comprised of (Friday) The Mary Jo Curry Band, Jason Elmore and
Hoodoo Witch, and the Nick Moss Band with special guests featuring Anson Funderburgh.

On Saturday, it’s Kapital Sound (an 11 piece band including horns!), Josh Hoyer and Soul Colossal, and headliner Curtis Salgado! Barry Friedman of the Old Capitol Blues & BBQ says “Our headliner Curtis Salgado is known as a blues icon and is also incredible to see live; he is known as the inspiration for John Belushi’s SNL skits and the movie ‘The Blues Brothers’!”.

A variety of succulent BBQ will be available from an array of vendors, as will be domestic and craft beers, cocktails, wines, and soft drinks.
Admission is $15 at the gates on both nights and tickets for food and drink will also be available for purchase. Find us on Facebook.
