The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Illinois (BGCCIL) in partnership with the City of Springfield and the Sangamon County Juvenile Justice Council, is hosting its 4th annual Teen Job Fair and Resource Expo. The event will take place April 5th from 6pm to 8:30pm at The Boys & Girls Club’s Central Unit, located at 300 S. 15th Street.

“This event will help connect local teens with year-round and summer opportunities including employment, camps and recreational services that are available to them,” said Dan Wright, Chair of the Sangamon County Juvenile Justice Council

Job seekers can get help filling out job applications, may receive on the spot interviews, and have a chance to enter multiple prize drawings. The event features many local employers and youth service organizations. The job fair will also include free food and beverages.

“Our summer job fair and resource expo is a one-stop shop for teens, unique to the Sangamon Co. area. With over 250 teens attending the expo in 2018, we are really excited about this year’s event. The expo has received positive feedback from both employers and area youth who attended. We are looking forward to an increase in teens and employers this year.” said Tiffany Mathis, Director of Development & Community Relations for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central IL

This event is free to attend and geared toward teenagers 16-19 who are seeking employment or volunteer opportunities. Parents are also welcome to accompany their teen participant.
