Vanessa will be honored at a recognition ceremony this month at Brookens Auditorium at the University of Illinois Springfield campus, which will feature UIS Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs (and Hoogland Center for the Arts Trustee) Dr. Clarice Ford as the keynote speaker.

The Springfield Business Journal recognizes 40 outstanding young professionals each year, and we are thrilled Vanessa is included in this year’s group of winners. Vanessa began her career at the Hoogland Center in 2010, working on weekends in the box office. In 2012, she joined the full-time staff as our Scheduling Manager. In addition to these responsibilties, she was promoted to Office Manager in 2014, and has done an outstanding job overseeing the box office and coordinating the building’s activities.

Vanessa has been an invaluable asset to us at the Hoogland Center and is responsible for keeping things running smoothly. Her fun personality and witty sense of humor make her a great person to work with.

She works hard to make sure that our residents and our patrons have a pleasant experience at the Hoogland Center, and we are grateful for everything she does to help us succeed.

We are proud of Vanessa for all of her accomplishments and look forward to the great things she will continue to achieve here at the Hoogland Center and beyond!
