Community Arts Access grants are given in conjunction with the Illinois Arts Council Agency.  The grants provide the opportunity for local arts agencies like the Springfield Area Arts Council to distribute state funds in their own service areas according to local needs.  The program is designed to give the community more access to the arts, especially among under-served populations.

Illinois State Museum Society – Noir Art Exhibit

Illinois Symphony Orchestra – Community Engagement Concerts

Land of Lincoln Chorus – Most Wonderful Time of Year Concert

Liturgical Arts Festival – Public Performances and Exhibits

Menard County Singers – Accompanist Stipend and Space Rental

Scholastic Art Awards – Honors Day Stipends and Supplies

Senior Services of Central Illinois – Senior Art Classes

Springfield International Folk Dancers – Rental Assistance

Springfield Park District – International Carillon Festival

Springfield Youth Performance Group – Mighty Movers Community Outreach

UIS Visual Arts Gallery – Consider a Disappearance Exhibit

Voices of Love, Joy, and Peace – Music Scholarship Concert

The Arts Council will hold a Trivia Night to raise additional funds for its grant programs.
